The Strix Cloud Personal Information Protection Policy

Soft Gear Co., Ltd. (the “Company”) is committed to the appropriate protection of personal information based on the “Personal Information Protection Policy”. The Company will inform its customers about the personal information it obtains or holds for business as follows:

(3)Personal Information Purpose of Use

The items of personal information that the Company obtains in providing Strix Cloud services and the purpose of use are as follows:

  1. Personal information (name, job title, email address, address and other information) of the customer (person in charge in the case of corporations) entered during initial registration
    • For contractor registration related to customers
    • For collection of claims against customers
    • To respond to inquiries from our customers
  2. Credit card information (expiration date, security code, payment item and amount)
    • For payment of usage fees related to the Strix Cloud from customers
  3. IP address and access logs related to customers’ devices using the Strix Cloud (records of the date and time the Strix Cloud was used, the functions used, etc.)
    • To insure proper use of the Strix Cloud by customers (includes confirmation of usage fees for the Strix Cloud)
    • To provide support to customers using the Strix Cloud
    • To investigate and resolve the causes of problems that occur on the server
    • To use as statistical data

The Company will not disclose or provide a customer’s personal information to third parties other than outsourcing parties without the prior consent of the customer, unless permitted by law. In addition, when providing personal information to a business contractor, the Company will require the business contractor to protect personal information through a confidentiality agreement, etc., and manage the business contractor to handle personal information appropriately. In the event that it is necessary to outsource the provision of Strix Cloud services, in order to use within the scope of the purpose of this Privacy Policy, the Company may provide a customer’s personal information to a third party in a foreign country that is a subcontractor if a customer agrees to this.

(4)About the Use of Cookies

The Strix Cloud may use cookie files. Cookies are small bits of information sent to the browser of customers that use the Strix Cloud, and are used for the following purposes:

  1. To identify the device a customer is using
  2. In combination with access logs, to better understand the number of customers who use the Strix Cloud
  3. In combination with access logs, to investigate the pages, etc. that customers have browsed on this site
  4. To verify that customers are logging in to the Strix Cloud server for services that require login
  5. To use website tools such as Google Analytics to analyze customer access to the Strix Cloud (for information on how Google Analytics collects and processes data, see “How Google Uses Information From Sites or Apps that Use Our Services” page: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites?hl=en)
  6. To deliver behavioral targeting adds to customers

There are some browsers that can be configured to not accept cookies from this site, but in that case, some functions of the Strix Cloud may be restricted or may not function properly.

(7)Disclosure Procedures

The Company will promptly respond to requests for disclosure, etc. of personal information (notification of purpose of use, disclosure, correction of contents, addition or deletion, suspension of use, deletion, suspension of provision to third parties) regarding personal information subject to disclosure. At a customer’s request, the Company will respond within a reasonable period of time after confirming that the customer is the person or agent who made the request.

(8)Disclosure Acceptance and Personal Information Support

Please contact the following reception desk for requests regarding disclosure of personal information subject to disclosure. Once a customer has contacted the Personal Information Support team, the Company will send a “Request for Disclosure of Personal Information” form to the customer by mail, or by fax, email, etc. Please fill out the necessary documents and send them to the Personal Information Support team. (The claimant will be responsible for the shipping fee)
After confirming that the person (or agent) who filled out the “Request for Disclosure of Personal Information” form, the Company will respond by issuing a written document. Please note that the Company may not be able to respond to requests for disclosure that are not based on this method.
